David B. Jacobs is a professional script supervisor and upcoming filmmaker. A writer since before he knew how to read, David's interest in film was sparked at a young age as he watched his way through the films of Hitchcock, Chaplin, and Bogart by the time he reached high school. He wrote his first feature-length screenplay while attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts - followed by ten more - and hasn't had a moment since when he's not in the middle of something. He's directed a slew of short films, including "555-SEXY," an absurdist dark comedy currently making its way through the festival circuit.
As a script supervisor (IATSE Local 161), David has worked on both commercials and feature films, including Domenica Cameron-Scorsese's Almost Paris, Tom Sierchio's The Girl Who Invented Kissing, and Nicolas Pesce's 2016 Sundance hit The Eyes of My Mother. As a Skarratt user, he utilizes the popular templates built by Peter Skarratt for ease and efficiency. Having a background in traditional pen-and-paper script supervising, he also enjoys the flexibility of keeping some paper on hand as well. He takes great pride in his work and loves being on set. He looks forward to continuing on this path for many years to come.
